Logistics Coordinator
Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to oversee the flow of goods in and out of our facility. This role requires someone who takes initiative, ensures accuracy, and works independently to keep operations running smoothly. Your primary task will be ensuring that all products are received, processed, and shipped accurately and efficiently, meeting deadlines and maintaining smooth operations
Essential Job Duties
Shipment Handling: Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments, ensuring all items are accurate and in good condition.
Accurate Counting: Precisely count and verify items for shipments and inventory.
Scheduling: Review the shipping schedule daily and proactively prepare for upcoming deliveries.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records for all incoming and outgoing shipments.
Coordination with Carriers: Communicate with carriers and freight forwarders to confirm delivery schedules and resolve any issues.
Communication: Liaise with internal teams and external partners to streamline shipping and receiving operations.
Compliance: Ensure all activities adhere to company policies and relevant regulations.
Requirements
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy, ensuring shipments and inventory are properly documented and processed. Must be able to count accurately.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to work with a wide range of stakeholders within and outside the organization.
Physical Ability: Capable of lifting and moving heavy boxes as needed.
Attention to Detail: Strong ability to count accurately and manage records without errors.
Proactive Attitude: Self-motivated and able to manage tasks independently without requiring constant oversight.
Multitasking: Ability to juggle logistical, administrative, and customer service tasks without losing focus or efficiency.
Adaptability: Ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure, particularly in high-stress or busy times.
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Garment Construction Knowledge: Basic understanding of fashion design / apparel manufacturing.
Work Experience: 1+ years of experience in a relevant field or 2+ years of general full-time work experience.
Spanish Fluency: Not required, but preferred for smoother communication with diverse partners and teams.
Location: Garment District, Manhattan
Salary Range: 45K to 55K annually
