Senior quality assurance manager

New York Embroidery Studio is an industry leader within the textile manufacturing and design space. We pride ourselves on originality and creativity.  We are growing rapidly in PPE manufacturing and distribution, driving American garment manufacturing in New York. 

We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems, ensuring products meet established standards and regulatory requirements in manufacturing. They will lead efforts to identify and rectify quality issues, implement process improvements, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Quality Management:

• Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with industry standards and regulations.

• Ensure compliance with quality policies and procedures throughout the manufacturing process, oversee comprehensive quality control procedures for in-process and final inspections.

• Conduct regular product and process audits to identify areas for improvement.

• Regulatory Compliance:

• Stay abreast of relevant industry regulations and certifications.

• Ensure that manufacturing processes align with regulatory requirements and standards.

• Supplier Quality Management:

• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials and components meet specified quality standards.

• Implement and manage supplier quality programs.

• Team Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Lead and mentor the quality assurance team to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.

• Implement continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

• Ensure a customer-centric approach to quality management.

• Analyze quality data and present regular reports on key performance indicators related to quality.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and supply chain, to ensure a holistic approach to quality assurance and new product introductions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

• Proven experience in Quality Assurance Management, ideally within textile manufacturing

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
