THE HUE OF VIVID RED AND ITS TRENDING SHADE BURGUNDY
How the color has been popular in the studio and in the fashion world
Here at New York Embroidery Studio, we love to assist in making creative, yet bold statements in our work. Shown in the image above is a collage of some of the patches we’ve worked on, our work for Met gala looks for Cardi B and Kerby Jean Raymond, Beyonce’s zip-up Telfar tracksuit for her “Renaissance World Tour”, and a couple of projects done with Stoney Clover Lane. The color red has undoubtedly become a favorite from our clients. The hue has been able to make a powerful statement all throughout history whether it be in fashion, or just in general. It has always been associated with passion and love. A part from this, it has been known to give off a joyful and spirited effect. One might seem influential just by wearing the color. It increases one's own perceived attractiveness, self-confidence and could also signify strength and resilience.

Although red has been the color that everyone currently wants to wear, the specific shade burgundy has been seen in the Spring/Summer 2024 runways for Gucci, Hermès, Bottega Veneta, Prada, and Saint Laurent. Prior to some Spring/Summer 2024 collections, burgundy was already making its way through the fashion world with taking part in the ‘Cherry Girls’ trend. The trend has been taking over wardrobes from clothes, shoes, and bags. Including a burgundy shoulder bag and some glossy sling back pumps with your outfit has been the simplest way of participating in the fashion trend. The color adds warmth and sophistication to one’s appearance no matter the occasion. For the past couple of months, the weather has brought us many frigid and foggy days. This could be the very reason as to why the color has become such a trend, in hopes of it restoring some radiant and gleaming looks back into the Winter days.
