About Us:

New York Embroidery Studio is a full-service design and manufacturing company specializing in embroidery, laser cutting, garment sewing, and finishing. Our Brooklyn facility is dedicated to high-volume contract manufacturing, with a focus on uniforms, outerwear, and PPE for federal and municipal clients.

We operate a fast-paced, high-output environment where precision, accountability, and clear communication are critical. Our team processes thousands of units weekly, and we take pride in meeting strict delivery schedules without compromising quality. We’re looking for leaders who are hands-on, organized, and capable of managing people, processes, and deadlines with confidence.

About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced Production Manager or Director to oversee high-volume garment manufacturing for government contract work. This is not a design room job. You need to know your way around a production floor, understand garment construction, and thrive under pressure.

This role is critical to ensuring output stays on track, specs are followed, and every order ships accurately and on time. You will coordinate closely with line managers, cutters, QC, supply chain, and trucking. We need someone who is organized, decisive, and fast—with a deep understanding of urgency in factory settings.

This position reports directly to senior leadership overseeing government contracts. You will be expected to communicate clearly and professionally with executive management and be accountable for production timelines and output.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Retrieve delivery orders from account managers, review them, and enter them into CRM

  • Plan and set daily/weekly output targets per style and per line based on capacity

  • Forecast fabric and trim needs with inventory and supply teams

  • Allocate work across production lines based on delivery schedules

  • Issue cut orders to in-house cutting team based on production timelines

  • Enforce line quotas and keep teams accountable

  • Prepare packaging labels, hangtags, and related DD250 documentation

  • Maintain organized inspection logs for each shipment

  • Oversee and organize shared cloud files for production schedules, inspection logs, and output reports

  • Manage production from planning to shipment and delivery coordination

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3–5 years experience in garment production management

  • Deep understanding of garment construction, sewing workflows, and manufacturing lines

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple moving parts

  • Quick decision-maker with sharp attention to detail

  • Fluent communication skills—CHINESE or SPANISH fluency is a strong plus

  • Comfortable working in a deadline-driven, high-volume environment
