Custom Denim Washing & Heritage Design for Central Cee x GAP (Coachella)

As Coachella’s first weekend wrapped up, British rap icon Central Cee took the stage wearing a custom, headline-making outfit designed in partnership with GAP. Paying homage to his British heritage, the Union Jack flag was cleverly incorporated directly into the denim garments for a historic festival style moment.

Our studio was thrilled to contribute our specialized textile finishing and design expertise to this high-profile creative project. To achieve the aesthetic required for the stage, we utilized advanced custom denim washing and textile manipulation techniques. Instead of traditional printing or heavy patching, the intricate flag pattern was integrated into the denim fibers through a precision washing process, resulting in a unique, beautifully worn, and faded vintage look. This technical approach preserved the natural drape and rugged texture of the denim while ensuring the graphic remained perfectly embedded in the fabric under the festival stage lights.
