HR and Payroll Manager for Manufacturing/Apparel
Job Summary
New York Embroidery Studio is growing rapidly, and we need an HR and Payroll Manager to help us build our workforce. You will be responsible for recruiting and hiring employees, developing and implementing policies and procedures, managing compensation and benefits, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and handling employee relations and conflict resolution.
Responsibilities
Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate employees for various job positions.
Develop and implement policies and procedures for employee management, training, performance evaluation, discipline, termination, etc.
Manage compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain talented workers
Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations
Handle employee relations and conflict resolution issues
Process payroll for all employees according to the established schedule
Calculate taxes, deductions, bonuses, commissions, overtime, etc.
Maintain payroll records and documentation
Prepare payroll reports and statements for internal and external purposes
Resolve payroll errors or discrepancies
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
Five years of experience in HR and payroll management in the manufacturing or apparel industry
Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications and HR and payroll software
Excellent knowledge of HR and payroll systems, methods, standards, such as ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks, etc.
Experience in manufacturing, especially apparel manufacturing, is highly preferred.
