NYES was entrusted with executing the delicate seashell appliqué embroidery on this robe for Anna Sui’s Spring Ready To Wear 2024. This collaboration aimed to blend Anna Sui’s signature eclectic style with a whimsical and tactile element.
Our Process
Appliqué embroidery is a technique that involves attaching fabric shapes of designs onto a garment to creative decorative embellishments – in this case, the shapes were inspired by seashells. To achieve this, we featured the beauty of seashells into the robe through the exquisite craftsmanship of embroidery. This perfectly embodies Anna Sui’s playful yet sophisticated approach to fashion.
