Embroidery Production Assistant

Job Summary

New York Embroidery Studio is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Embroidery Production Assistant to support daily operations on the production floor. This is a hybrid role combining both production and development. The position involves operating embroidery machines while also supporting the embroidery manager with file preparation, color matching, and execution. This is an active, fast-paced environment. The role is not passive and requires someone who is proactive, organized, and comfortable moving between digital and hands-on work.

Essential Job Duties

  • Operate embroidery machines as part of daily production
  • Support embroidery production on the floor
  • Assist with thread color matching and selection
  • Prepare and review embroidery files for production
  • Work closely with the embroidery manager on sampling and development
  • Maintain organization and accuracy across multiple ongoing projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field
  • Strong eye for color, placement, and proportion
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Clear and proactive communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative without constant direction
  • Comfortable working between computer-based tasks and hands-on production
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
