Lingua Franca × Westminster Kennel Club

Project Overview

New York Embroidery Studio collaborated with Lingua Franca to produce a custom chain stitch embroidered banner for the 150th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. The banner was stitched in white thread on a rich purple textile, designed to serve as a bold, celebratory backdrop honoring the historic event.

Chain stitch embroidery was selected for its dimensional texture and handcrafted quality, allowing Lingua Franca’s typography and illustration to maintain fluidity and visual impact at scale. Each stitch was carefully executed to ensure clarity, consistency, and durability, resulting in a banner that balanced heritage craftsmanship with contemporary presentation.

This project highlights how traditional chain stitch embroidery can be applied to large-format textiles to create statement-making event signage.
