Willie Norris For Outlier: Sublimation Printing
Project Overview
For the Willie Herself collaboration with Outlier IDEAS 7 collection, sublimation printing was done by NYES. Dye-sublimation printing is an innovative technique that is revolutionizing the printing industry, by introducing cutting-edge technology, sustainability practices and high-quality outputs. With this collaboration with Outlier, our goal was to establish state-of-the art sublimation printing without compromising vibrant and durable designs. This was achieved, through our Textart, sublimation printer.
Sublimation Mastery: Willie Norris for Outlier 2024
To achieve the vibrant sublimation prints, we first used our Texart dye sublimation printer to print the design onto transfer paper. The paper was then pressed onto the fabric with our calendar machine using heat, allowing the dye to bond with the fabric fibers. This process resulted in crisp, vivid prints that are permanent, with no fading or peeling, bringing the Outlier IDEAS 7 collection to life.
