Avant-Garde Elegance for Kate Bosworth with Expert Laser-Cutting

Kate Bosworth at the Met Gala wearing a dramatic black dress with puffed sleeves and detailed texture.

NYES played a key role in bringing this vision to life by creating the entire garment through the precise technique of laser cutting. Using black organza, we meticulously crafted delicate petals with scalloped edges that, when layered, created a dramatic, full, and voluminous effect. The intricate details and the unique structure of the petals added depth and movement to the garment. Ensuring it was both a modern and artistic interpretation of Kawakubo’s iconic style. This collaboration resulted in a show-stopping look that perfectly embodied the spirit of the Met Gala’s tribute to Rei Kawakubo.

The elaborate gold hand beading transformed the garment into a radiant, one-of-a-kind piece, perfectly complementing Damson Idris’s commanding presence. This collaboration highlights NYES’s dedication to artisanal detail and luxury finishes, showcasing how our expert craftsmanship brings designers’ visions to life on one of fashion’s most prestigious stages.
