Job Summary
New York Embroidery Studio is a leading manufacturer with a division dedicated to producing high-quality PPE, including medical gowns, for hospitals and government contracts. We’re looking for two bilingual (English & Chinese) Production Line Quality Monitors to support our compliance team and ensure our production floor maintains the highest standards. These roles are part of our expanding PPE division, which follows ISO-compliant quality processes. These entry-level roles are ideal for individuals with basic garment construction knowledge and strong attention to detail. You’ll serve as the communication bridge between the Quality Compliance office and the production floor, with a primary focus on ensuring quality standards are upheld throughout the entire production process.
Essential Job Duties
- Conduct scheduled and impromptu quality audits on the production line
- Ensure quality standards are consistently met across all phases of production
- Distribute labels, tickets, and quality-related materials to the appropriate line managers
- Relay quality expectations and corrective feedback between compliance and floor staff
- Monitor garment construction and flag inconsistencies or defects
- Ensure production meets regulatory, client, and internal compliance standards
- Assist with documentation and reporting of audit findings
- Help troubleshoot issues to prevent recurring quality problems
- Collaborate closely with the compliance and production teams
Requirements
- Bilingual in English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) – required
- Basic understanding of garment construction and industrial sewing
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and reliable
- Interest in compliance and quality control
- Prior experience in apparel or PPE manufacturing is a plus, but not required
Location: Brooklyn Army Terminal. Brooklyn, NY
Open Shifts:
Day Shift: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (30-minute lunch break)
Compensation: $18–$22 per hour, depending on experience (DBE)Night Shift: Monday–Friday, 5:30 PM – 2:00 AM (30-minute meal break)
Compensation: $20–$24 per hour, depending on experience (DBE)
